Design and technique
The Skinart curriculum covers tattoo history and styles, design preparation, stencils, placement, machines, needles, inks, linework, black packing, shading, colour work and guided assignments on practice skin.
Safety and client care
Training should address skin, needle depth, hand hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, protected setup, sharps disposal, consultation, consent, records, aftercare and workstation cleaning.
Theory and practical competence
Online learning and practice-skin assignments can build knowledge and control, but learners must still meet any supervised practice, assessment, licensing, premises and insurance requirements that apply locally.
Check authoritative safety guidance
Course learning should be compared with current official guidance, equipment and product instructions and the rules that apply where you work. Review the authoritative tattoo safety references and international-use note.
